OASIS Water Management
Advanced ET Description
Advanced ET. Provide an automated
ET driven water management capability where all irrigation schedules are
automatically generated based upon dynamic plant water usage needs. Plant
usage requirements are dependent upon user established station parameters
including: precipitation rate, distribution uniformity, monthly plant crop
coefficients, root zone depth, soil type, site microclimate, management
allowable depletion, plant stress factor, and slope.
The Advanced ET water management
module shall:
- On a daily basis, automatically determine the water days, station
runtimes, and frequency of application insuring that no water loss occurs
due to runoff, or deep percolation.
- Account for all water entering the root zone including: scheduled
irrigation, manual irrigation/station testing, as well as effective
rainfall.
- Account for all moisture leaving the root zone based upon daily
ET, the specific plant type material taking into consideration seasonal
plant water usage requirements.
- Account for any missed irrigation cycles (e.g. satellite power outages,
mow days, no water windows, scheduled system shutdowns) and automatically
"make-up" for lost irrigation needs.
- Automatically schedule irrigation taking into consideration user
defined satellite operating constraints including: allowable water days,
water windows, electrical constraints (maximum simultaneous stations
on), and hydraulic constraints (maximum g.p.m.).
- Print/display the percentage of moisture remaining in the root zone
of each station.
- Display today's scheduled irrigation including station start and
run times.
- Provide safeguards to warn the operator for: water window violations,
excessive depletion of root zone moisture (station brownout), operator
entry errors resulting in scheduling inconsistencies or anomalies.
- Provide water usage analysis function showing projected water usage
on a weekly and monthly basis. Projections are based upon either the
last 30 day average ET or any user selected ET value. Analysis for each
station includes: cycles per day, runtime per day, maximum cycle before
runoff, skip days, and weekly/monthly volumes and runtimes.
- Allow any station to be programmed to utilize a normally open or
either of two normally closed master valves with or without a pump or
none of the above.
